Sound Coffee Expands to Black Rock

We're thrilled to announce that Sound Coffee is expanding, with a second location in Bridgeport! We're taking over the former Source Coffeehouse at 2889 Fairfield Avenue, a beloved part of Black Rock's culture and community. This space has been a gathering place for years, and we're honored to be its new stewards, carrying on the tradition of a true neighborhood coffeehouse.

This opportunity came together quickly. Thanks to the support of the property owners and the existing team at Source, we were able to solidify a plan to bring Sound Coffee to Black Rock. We are also honored to work with the existing Source management team and baristas, proudly welcoming them to the Sound Coffee Crew! Bridgeport is our home, and we are so proud and excited to merge our community with this incredible neighborhood.

Our original location at 2040 Main St. will remain our production facility and café, where we roast fresh beans, build community, and help people level up their coffee game. The new Fairfield Avenue location will embrace the heart of a classic coffeehouse—a place to gather, connect, and enjoy great coffee.

We'll share updates via email, as well as invites to our preview parties and grand opening. So stay tuned and follow us on social media @soundcoffeecompany for all the behind-the-scenes action. We're working hard on a fast transition to keep you well caffeinated, and currently targeting early March for our official rebrand.

We're also excited to announce that Roman Bergner of Moonsmoke Bakery will be bringing their incredible creations to our new space. And because art is woven into the fabric of Bridgeport, we plan to welcome musicians and artists, keeping creativity and community at the core of what we do.

In addition to our cafés, we have our fun and mobile Sound Coffee Cart, which pops up at the Bridgeport Amphitheater, artisan fairs, and private events. If you're looking to bring specialty coffee to your next event, we've got you covered!
